🚨 Safety first: Minivan Meditations and audio

Some guided audio, including Minivan Meditations, may include phrases like "close your eyes" or "relax deeply." Only use these when your vehicle is fully parked, turned off and in a safe, legal location. Never use them while driving, operating machinery, or anywhere reduced awareness could put you or others at risk. You are responsible for your own safety and the safety of those around you.

1. Who we are and what these Terms cover

Life on the A List ("LOTAL," "we," "us") is operated by SC3 LLC, doing business as Life on the A List. These Terms apply to everything we offer: our website (lifeonthealist.com, including the blog), our email list, our mobile app, our private online community, workshops, meditations, gifts, and our shop (together, the "Services").

By using the Services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Services. You must be 18 or older to create an account or join the community.

2. What LOTAL is (and isn't)

LOTAL shares lived experience, community support and general educational information for moms and caregivers of neurodivergent, gifted and twice-exceptional (2e) kids.

LOTAL does not provide medical, legal, psychological, therapeutic, educational-evaluation or other professional advice, diagnosis or treatment. Nothing in the Services creates a professional-client relationship. Always consult qualified, licensed professionals about your family's specific needs. If you or someone else is in crisis or in danger, contact local emergency services right away.

Guest experts are independent professionals sharing general information. Their views are their own. Community posts are personal experiences and opinions, not advice.

3. Ways to participate

The A List (free). Join our email list for occasional updates, encouragement, tools and announcements. Unsubscribe anytime using the link in any email.

Founding Insiders & Insiders (paid). Paid membership gives access to our private online community (currently hosted on Skool), recorded expert workshops, the Classroom and member resources.

• Founding Insider rate: $9/month, locked in for as long as your membership stays current. If you cancel and later rejoin, the then-current rate applies.
• Founding Insider OG (beta testers): invited beta testers receive a complimentary lifetime membership at no cost, for as long as LOTAL operates its paid community and the member remains in good standing.
• Memberships are personal and not transferable. You may not share, sell, gift or transfer your membership, login or access, including the Founding Insider rate and complimentary lifetime memberships.
• Future tiers, prices and benefits may be added or changed. We'll give notice before any price change affects your active subscription.

4. Billing, renewals, cancellation and refunds

• Paid memberships renew automatically each month until canceled. Membership payments are processed by Skool and its payment processor (Stripe).
• Cancel anytime through your Skool account settings, or email hello@lifeonthealist.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep access until then.
• Refunds: monthly fees are generally non-refundable once a billing period begins. If something went wrong (for example, a duplicate charge), email us and we'll make it right.
• Once our shop opens, shop orders are covered by the shipping, return and exchange terms shown at checkout.

5. Gifts ("Fuel the Mission")

Gifts made through our website are voluntary contributions to support LOTAL's work. They don't purchase goods or services or create membership. Life on the A List is not currently a registered nonprofit, so gifts are not tax-deductible. Gifts are generally non-refundable. If you made one in error, email us within 14 days. Gifts are processed by Kajabi Payments.

6. Community guidelines

Our community works because it's safe. By participating, you agree to:

1. 💗 Kindness lives here. Treat everyone with respect and empathy.
2. 🔒 What's shared here stays here. Don't screenshot, copy or share others' posts, stories or identities outside the community.
3. 🤝 Support first, solutions second. Ask before offering advice.
4. 💬 Share experience, not expertise. Don't give medical, legal, therapeutic or medication advice. Share what worked for your family.
5. 🚫 No selling or soliciting. No self-promotion or sales pitches without permission.
6. 🫶 Protect our kids' privacy too. Avoid children's full names, photos, schools or other identifying details.
7. 🚫 No politics, faith debates or vaccine debates.

You may use a first name, nickname or alias. We may remove content or suspend or remove members who violate these guidelines, without refund.

7. Your content

You own what you post. By posting in our community, comments or other features, you give LOTAL a limited, non-exclusive license to host and display it within the Services. We will never use your community posts publicly (for example, as a testimonial) without your permission. We may remove content that violates these Terms or the law.

8. Our content

All LOTAL content (text, graphics, logos, workshops, meditations, audio, video, templates and resources) belongs to Life on the A List or its licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark law. Life on the A List™ and Momfidante™ are trademarks of SC3 LLC. You may use content for your personal, non-commercial use. Please don't copy, share, resell or redistribute it without written permission.

9. Affiliate disclosure

Some links on our website, including on our Bookshelf, are affiliate links. As an Amazon Associate, LOTAL earns from qualifying purchases. We may also earn commissions from other partners (such as Bookshop.org). This never costs you more, and we only recommend what we'd hand to a friend.

10. Text messages (SMS)

If you choose to give us your mobile number, you agree that we may send occasional text messages about LOTAL updates. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time. Giving your number is optional and is never required to join. We don't sell or share mobile numbers for marketing.

11. The Life on the A List app

• The app may send push notifications. You can turn them off in your device settings.
• Streaming content may use mobile data. We aren't responsible for carrier charges.
• Features may change with updates.
• Your use of the app is also subject to the Apple App Store or Google Play terms, as applicable.
• Pre-release (beta) versions may contain bugs and are provided for testing.

12. Third-party services and links

We use trusted third-party platforms (such as Skool, Kajabi, Shopify and app stores) to deliver parts of the Services. Their own terms may also apply. We're not responsible for third-party websites, products or practices.

13. Disclaimers

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available." We don't guarantee particular results, outcomes or uninterrupted service.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, LOTAL and its owners, contractors, guest experts and partners are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for harm arising from reliance on community posts or general information, or from unsafe use of meditations or audio. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

15. Termination

You can stop using the Services anytime. We may suspend or end access for violations of these Terms.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.

17. Changes

We may update these Terms. We'll post the new version with a new "Last Updated" date, and for material changes affecting paid members, we'll notify you by email.
